Terms and condition policy
Welcome to our travel services. By booking with us, you agree to abide by the following terms and conditions. These terms are designed to ensure a smooth travel experience for both our clients and our agency.
General Rules
No alcohol & smoking during treks & adventure activities. There would be a separate window and space (usually at night) to have these at campsite/homestay for interested people.
No Luxury. We assure awesome memories every trip, but not awesome facilities! We provide basic facilities in terms of food, travel & accommodation.
The itinerary is fixed. No special requests to change the itinerary/schedule are permitted.
Absolutely no littering during our travels. We swear to protect our environment.
Co-operation with organizers. Travelers must follow the schedule set for the day (especially getting up and getting ready in the morning). This ensures that no one misses out on the real fun part – traveling.
Personal responsibility. Every traveler is responsible for his/her own safety while traveling with Ashok North East Travels. Do not indulge in any illegal or reckless activity that may cause harm to you or fellow travelers.
Liability waiver. Every traveler is expected to sign a liability/waiver form given by the organizer(s) after boarding the vehicle that discharges Ashok North East Travels of any unexpected incident like injury/death/theft etc.
Unexpected situations. It may happen that we do not cover all the places mentioned in the itinerary due to unpredictable reasons like bad weather, wild animal presence, abrupt blocking of sites by the police/forest department, delays within the group, traffic conditions, etc. If time permits, the organizer(s) may take travelers to an alternative place. In some cases, a place may have to be skipped altogether.
Respect & behavior. Travelers are expected to respect and help each other. Avoid discussing sensitive matters like sex, politics, religion/caste/race.
Zero tolerance policy. Using foul/abusive language, eve-teasing, arguing with fellow travelers/organizer(s), or physical assault will not be accepted and may result in being deserted by Ashok North East Travels.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
Cancellation by Ashok North East Travels
Ashok North East Travels may decide to cancel the event if fewer than 8 travelers sign up for the trip/trek.
If the minimum number is not met, two options are available:
Option 1: Complete refund.
Option 2: Switch to another trip of the same weekend or a future weekend. The difference amount will be collected from you or refunded according to the new trip cost.
Cancellation by the Traveler(s)
Organizers must be informed 48 hours before the event start time for cancellation/postponement.
Refund will be processed as per the Refund Policy mentioned below.
You may postpone your ticket to a future event 48 hours before the event start time (allowed once per booking only).
No postponement or refund within 48 hours of the event start time.
You may provide a replacement (friend, colleague, etc.) if you cannot attend, to save your booking amount.
Refund Policy for Weekend Trips
80% refund if cancellation is informed before 48 hours of the event start time.
For events with point-to-point bus/train booking, 50% refund if informed before 48 hours.
No refund or postponement within 48 hours of the event start time (whatever the reason – health, accident, Covid, family, office, etc.).
No refund/postponement for partial payment/booking fee.
No refund during/after the event.
Cancellation Due to External Factors
Ashok NE Travels may cancel an event due to factors beyond our control such as:
Natural Disasters, Extreme Weather Conditions, Red Alerts, Political Disturbances, Bandh/Curfews, Local Issues, Road Blocks, Train cancellations, Covid-19 or other outbreaks.No refund is allowed.
100% trip amount can be used for another trip (same weekend or future weekends). The difference amount will be adjusted.
Once you confirm participation in the new trip, the above cancellation policies will apply.
Refund Policy for Long Trips (Himalayas, North East & 5+ Days Trips)
80% refund if cancellation request is sent 30 days before the trip/trek.
50% refund if request is sent 15–30 days before the trip/trek.
No refund within 15 days, during, or after the trip (whatever the reason – health, accident, Covid, family, office, etc.).
No refund if boarding is denied due to Covid symptoms.
No refund during/after the event.
Registration/booking fee is non-refundable.
Refund Policy Related to COVID
No refund if you drop out due to Covid.
No refund if you are denied boarding due to Covid symptoms.
No refund if the event is cancelled/postponed due to government-imposed Covid lockdown/restrictions. In this case, your trip amount will be used as credit for future trips.
The “Offbeat” Theme of Ashok North East Travels
Ashok North East Travels specializes in real offbeat experiences such as trekking, hiking, camping, bonfire, adventure activities, barbecue, and exploring less-known but beautiful destinations.
We do not take travelers to typical tourist places unless required as a “filler” between offbeat spots.
Please do not request organizers to visit specific temples, churches, or tourist sites not included in the itinerary.
If your goal is to tick off popular tourist spots, Ashok North East Travels may not be the right choice for you.

The agency is not responsible for delays, cancellations, or changes caused by natural calamities, strikes, political unrest, accidents, or events beyond our control.
We are not liable for loss of personal belongings, additional expenses, or any indirect damages.

All content on our website (text, images, itineraries, and logos) is the property of the agency.
Unauthorized use, copying, or distribution is prohibited.
Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of India.
Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the local courts (Guwahati Court) where the agency is registered.
